Faulkner's "A Rose for EMily," tells the story of the last person of a certain old Southern family. The death of Emily Grierson in the story is the end of old Southern tradition.

In "A Rose for Emily", Faulkner portraysthe mix of dislike and pity of the people of the city for Emily, who does not seem to fit to their life style.
